Start with what’s strong, not just what’s struggling
A strengths-based approach shifts the focus from “What’s wrong with me?” to “What’s right with me, and how can I build from there?”
Therapy doesn’t have to be focused only on what’s wrong. A strengths-based approach helps you recognize what’s already working within you—and use those qualities as a foundation for change. Even if it doesn’t feel like it, you already have resilience, insight, and capacity. This work helps you reconnect with those parts of yourself.
Rather than only focusing on symptoms, we explore your abilities, values, and past experiences to support growth in a more empowering way.
How Can A Strengths-Based Approach Helps
This approach can support you in:
-
Building confidence and self-trust
-
Recognizing your resilience and capabilities
-
Feeling less stuck or discouraged
-
Approaching challenges with more clarity and empowerment

What to Expect in a Strengths-Based Session
In our work together, we may:
-
Reflect on how you’ve navigated challenges in the past
-
Identify strengths you may not fully recognize yet
-
Use those strengths to approach current struggles
-
Build tools that feel aligned with who you are
I often integrate mindfulness to help you become more aware of your internal experience, and somatic practices to support grounding and regulation. When helpful, Brainspotting can deepen the work by processing experiences that may be blocking access to your strengths.
Building From What’s Already Within You
Something shifts when you begin to see yourself through a different lens.
Instead of feeling defined by your struggles, you start to recognize your capacity—to adapt, to grow, and to move forward in a way that feels more aligned and sustainable.
