Frequently Asked Questions
FAQs
You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, curious about yourself, or simply wanting more from your life and relationships, therapy can be a helpful place to start.
In our work together, you’ll build skills to navigate daily challenges while gaining insight into how your past may be shaping your present. This awareness can help you feel more grounded, intentional, and able to respond rather than react.
Healing happens in the context of relationships, and therapy offers a unique space where you can show up as you are—without pressure or expectations. Choosing to invest in yourself, even for an hour each week, can be a meaningful step toward feeling more supported, understood, and connected to yourself.
Getting started is simple. You can reach out through the contact page to send a message or schedule a consultation call. This gives us a chance to connect, answer your questions, and get a sense of what you’re looking for.
We’ll schedule a 15-minute phone consultation to connect and get a sense of what you’re looking for in therapy. I’ll ask about your goals and share a bit about my approach so you can get a feel for how I work.
Together, we’ll decide if it feels like a good fit. If it doesn’t, I’m happy to provide referrals to help you find the right support.
I offer 50-minute sessions and recommend clients attend sessions a minimum of once a week to start. Once you are progressing in therapy, we can move to bi-weekly until therapy is no longer needed.
I am currently in-network with Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Cigna. I also offer private pay options for clients who choose not to use insurance.
Initial intake sessions are 75 minutes and $175. Ongoing sessions are 50 minutes and $135, offered virtually with in-person availability coming soon.
Extended or intensive sessions (2–4 hours) are also available and billed at an hourly rate.
When scheduling an appointment, it is important to reserve time specifically for you. A minimum of 24 hours' notice is required if you need to reschedule or cancel an appointment. If a session is canceled less than 24 hours in advance, the full fee will still be charged.
Each treatment session is scheduled with clients before and/or after your appointment, so please be aware that late arrivals will not receive extra time for their appointment. The original reservation fee will still apply in such cases.
We have morning, afternoon, and evening availability on Monday through Thursday.
I am currently only seeing clients virtually, but have an in-person office coming soon.
Online therapy takes place through a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform. You’ll receive a private link each week and can join from wherever you feel most comfortable.
Many clients are surprised by how connected and effective virtual sessions can feel. Being in your own space often helps ease some of the pressure and allows you to show up more fully.
I am unable to support those who need after-hours or crisis services. I will not be a good fit for you if you need a higher level of care. I am able to provide short check-ins throughout the week.
If you are in crisis, please go to your local emergency room or call the Crisis Line at 800-273-8255.
